The Proton S70 made its formal debut on November 28 and was 2023's last major launch. Boasting a price tag of "C-segment sedan at City/Vios," the new model generated a lot of discussion and curiosity. Not only have only 109 units been registered thus far, but customer deliveries are still pending.

Proton's 2023 sales announcement disclosed this, and it is assumed that the 109 vehicles are test drive units intended for dealership use. That being said, the business reports that customer deliveries will start this year and that the S70 will significantly boost P1's 2014 sales results. The number of reservations has surpassed 5,000.





"We anticipate the Proton S70 model to significantly boost sales this year as customer deliveries start in 2024 and more than 5,000 bookings have been received thus far," the business stated in the press announcement. Proton CEO Li Chunrong stated, "We are confident that we will sustain this momentum going forward into 2024, supported by the introduction of our new model, the S70."

Roslan Abdullah, the deputy CEO of Proton, stated on December 7 that early bird clients can anticipate receiving their new automobiles "from next week." He added at the time that consumers are wanting to have their automobiles registered in 2024, so there will be a one-month waiting period and a low first delivery volume.




There are four different models of the Proton S70: Executive, Premium, Flagship, and Flagship X. The Premium model costs RM79,800, while the entry-level Exec starts at RM73,800. The Flagship, which retails for RM89,800, is where the S70 series really begins for many people. The Flagship X costs RM94,800 if you want a sunroof, a dashcam, and the unique Quartz Black color.

A 1.5-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 150 horsepower and 226 Nm of torque between 1,750 and 4,000 rpm powers all models.
