We are honoured to share that Kualiti Alam Hijau (M) Sdn Bhd was recently invited to participate in a strategic meeting in Manila, Philippines, with Hon. Albert P. Dela Cruz, Commissioner of the Climate Change Commission of the Philippines. The meeting was held at Osaku Hotel and focused on the potential for large-scale carbon credit development projects in the Philippines.

As Project Developer, Kualiti Alam Hijau presented our capabilities and experiences in managing environmental initiatives, and explored collaboration opportunities to support the Philippines’ goals in nature-based carbon offsetting and sustainable land management.
The discussions highlighted the immense potential of the country’s natural assets:
- 🌿 NIPAS Protected Areas: 4.1 million hectares under the National Integrated Protected Areas System
- 🌳 Watershed Forest Reserves: 1.2 million hectares crucial for water security and biodiversity
- 🌊 Mangrove Forests: 250,000 hectares with high carbon sequestration value

Covering an estimated 54,000 km² of viable land, these areas offer significant opportunities for developing nature-based carbon projects that align with international carbon standards and climate finance mechanisms.

his meeting marks a promising step forward in regional cooperation to unlock climate finance, empower conservation, and support local communities through sustainable carbon initiatives. Kualiti Alam Hijau is committed to bringing Malaysian expertise to international partnerships that advance climate action and environmental stewardship.

Stay tuned as we continue to build momentum for impactful carbon projects across Southeast Asia.
