At OLO DESIGN 36O, we always put our customers’ safety first.
Today, many homeowners are very concerned about formaldehyde. Most people immediately focus on cabinets and carpentry materials because that is what they often see online. However, based on our industry experience, formaldehyde does not only come from cabinetry. Common Uses Melamine
In reality, flooring, paint, sofas, mattresses, curtains, fabrics, loose furniture, adhesives, and many other renovation materials may release even higher formaldehyde levels than custom carpentry itself.

That is why we always advise customers to understand the overall renovation environment instead of only focusing on one material.
At OLO DESIGN 36O, we use environmentally friendly materials such as E0 Melamine Boards and E0 / ENF Plywood. Modern materials today are designed with much lower emissions compared to older generations. In addition, exposed edges are properly sealed to minimize unnecessary gas release.

From our experience, proper ventilation after renovation is equally important. We usually recommend customers to complete renovation planning early, allow the house to ventilate properly after completion, and use air purifiers, activated charcoal, and good airflow before moving in.

The reality is that modern homes can never be completely “zero formaldehyde”. Proper material selection, responsible renovation planning, and good ventilation are what truly make a healthier living environment.
