The face features a new 450+ high strength steel constuction with a thin face and new "Micro Texture Face" design.  The new 450+ steel produces a very efficient energy transfer to the ball for great distance.  It is made to produce a very consistent and crisp feel at impact that is very consistent across the face.  The new texture on the face helps add friction between the ball and the clubface for added spin control with each shot.  

Last, but not least to the new design is the added 20gram weight that is placed within the sole.  The new wider sole is filled with a 20gram tungsten weight bar that is placed in the sole and is the same length as the hitting area. This is the main component in producing the very low CG while having great stability at impact.

The new Taylormade Glorie iron comes with a standard NSPRO steel or GL2200 carbon shaft.  The GL2200 is made for a consistent soft feel with a high launch characteristic.
